Still confused about "cover scents" -- oil, silicone, alcohol

Hey guys,

I've asked about this before in the AD section but wasn't able to get any conclusive information on mixing silicone with an alcohol based spray. As I understand it so far, silicone has molecules too large to be absorbed by the skin, therefore produces a longer lasting, more even diffusing effect.

However, I have had a lot of bad comments on one of the products which has a silicone base and want to cover with alcohol. How exactly will this affect my results? The product is Alpha Maschio with leather and steel scent.
