I'm wondering especially at this time of year how much the diffusion of pheromones is affected by covering them with clothing. I'm sure that applying pheromones to the chest or forearms will be pretty much useless if you're going to be wearing a heavy coat, but what about a long-sleeve shirt, or a flannel shirt, sweater, light jacket?
If this is a problem, then it would seem the only place to apply pheromones would be the neck (high enough to not be covered by the collar), possibly the wrists (provided the sleeves aren't extra long), or the backs of the hands (until you need to wash them).
I wasn't sure where to post this question, but after looking around thoroughly, this seemed like the closest possibility.
