Money over health. How business possible cover significant health info

We all take some health risks in our lives.I consider mones to be one of them.Until yesterday I was less anxious about it, believing it's probably harmless if I'm not overdoing it.And it maybe is.

The reason I opened this thread is the realization that the info we have access too, through internet search, seems complete to make a conclusion about simple matters but it isn't.Sometimes you need a doctor and sometimes you need a well informed doctor.I suspect the corporate world affects the information that is available to us, at least for the first pages on a google search.

My story:I have 5 months I do hard bodyweight training with great results everyone on my circle talks about (and my body was very good before).I have 1 month I take whey protein, after I looked it on the internet and knowing that almost everyone on a gym takes it.I bet a simple doctor would have said that I do no harm. But yesterday I had my mother ask a very good and informed pathologist (who is a family friend) and he said I'm doing a very stupid thing and that whey protein has some bery bad excipients in it(i hope i translated this right).

I felt stupid because I was almost certain I was doing the right thing. Then mones came in mind, as they seem to fit in the same category of a probable unknown risk.

After that I googled again about whey protein and skipped the first 10 pages. In the first few pages I never saw a health risk from it, not even a mention. On the 10nd page I start seeing some different opinions.I don't know if that's what the doctor meant (I'll try to talk to him myself) but it seems that non organic whey protein comes from a very commercial milk, of bad quality, from cows fed with bad food and growth hormones.A further possibly bad treatment is the next stage, to get the final product. Now I'm looking for organic whey protein or even for a plant based protein.

So this thread is about 3 things.Whey protein, mones and the hypothesis that big corporates affect the info we can access throughfrom at least the first pages of an internet search. So:

Anyone here taking whey?Did you take a doctor's opinion on that?
Did anyone take a doctor's opinion on mone usage?
I suspect you need a well informed doctor to have an opinion on that matter.

I feel that nowadays there are many traps to avoid, I never thought that he would say I'm doing a very stupid and unhealthy thing for a product so widely used that it advertised as totally harmless (unless you have an allergy) and even beneficial.
