I was shocked to find out that my normal height 5'8" before working out is reduced to 5'6.5" after. And this reduction in height last sometimes into the next day or two.
What is going on? I lift light weights , 20 lbs dumbells only, do 2 sets of 10 reps for about 6 exercises , then I walk /jog intervals for 18 min, then I stretch all major muscles for 10-15 min.
What I find out is I am 1.5" shorter after this workout and I can't get the height back. Is this a sign that something is seriously wrong?
The weights aren't heavy enough like a powerlifter to do any compression damage. I don't sweat at all, not one drop of sweat during my workout so I can't be losing water.
Does anyone have any solution to this. 5'8'" is pretty short for a man these days and I don't need to lose another 1.5 inch that stays lost for 24 hrs or more thereafter.
I have a feeling the loss of height is in my spinal discs.. something is dehydrating the discs. I tend to drink lots of water and coffee throughout the day as much as 3 cups of coffee and 10 cups of water.
Today I tried taking an advil after when I got home.. I am wondering if i'm experiencing swelling of the joints in the bones and discs because I do feel in pain somewhat are rather tense in neck and back even though I stretch.
Sometimes I find stretching makes me SHORTER as it weakens muscles making them more lax.
Any tips?
I don't care to grow, just not to lose height so badly.. I understand all of us are 1/2 inch shorter at night compared to morning, but 1.5 " is ridiculous and unhealthy.
