Great news my fellow pherotruth community friends
. As I mentioned earlier this week after much deliberations with FedEx and DHL I was able to get pretty damn good rates for a very small business. These rates are currently reserved for BIG-TIME shippers (think Amazon and the likes).
In order to do so though, to make it more appealing I needed to raise the standard USPS Priority Mail rates a little bit higher, but still below what it actually costs.
My cost domestic USPS $5.25 but you only pay $3
My cost Canada USPS $12.97 but you only pay $10
My Cost International $16.95 but you only pay $14
Please keep in mind that I m no longer offering Express Mail through the USPS. They do not offer tracking numbers, charge more than the amazing FedEx rates I negotiated for us and the worst part was that most of the express packages took longer than many Priority Mail packages.
I'm ALWAYS going to do my best to get the orders out as they come in. That much I promise will never change. Just please remember that the USPS does not provide adequate tracking especially if you are outside the USA. Quite frankly its terrible and your Priority Mail package can take upwards of 30 days outside the US to arrive. Its still an inexpensive reliable avenue and still discounted.
With the USPS, my mail lady can come anywhere from 2 pm (or earlier) all the way up to 7 pm. Its haphazard at its best. With FedEx there's a pickup box right around the block from my house with a 5 pm pickup. As long as orders come in Monday through Friday before 4:30 pm its going out! We also wouldn't have to worry about holidays like today. On the other hand the USPS does pick up on Saturdays. There are Pros and cons both ways, but now that choice is yours.
The FedEx Rates are:
USA Next Business Day $19.97
Canada and Mexico $21.97
Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Most of Western Europe $24.97
Most of the rest of the world $29.97
Eastern Europe / Asia $49.97
I'll see if I can get some estimated delivery times from FedEx. I'm also pretty sure I can get the rates down some more, but right now its based on estimates. The rates may come down as much as $5 or more for each zone. There are some good things coming in the works too. I am still in negotiations with DHL and if you order FedEx International it might actually show up via DHL. It really depends on certain aspects based on weights and zones so whatever I have to do to get the costs lower I'll do it.
The new rates are currently active on the site. Your feedback is valuable to me so please let me know if you have any.
One more thing, if your country is not on the list please contact me. It might be that I couldn't get rates for it from FedEx or DHL. Perhaps I just missed it. Happy shipping times
