I read the subliminals thread (thanks folks) and found myself interested in trying to make my own subliminal mp3's. I like listening to nature sounds while I sleep so this would be pretty easy for me to use once I make it.
I found a site that allows easy mixing of various sounds with the resulting file being available for download. This takes the pain out of gathering the sounds: http://naturesoundsfor.me/
The trick (I think) will be in the actual scripts. I haven't found a *ton* of information out there for how to make these. The only suggestions I've gathered are:
1. Always use "I", not "you"
2. Always refer to the positive, not the negative (i.e. "I don't like to smoke" isn't as perhaps good as "I enjoy taking deep breaths of clean air")
I've seen hints about playing the scripts at different speeds and perhaps even backwards.
Other than that, I haven't seen much.
I'm only casually aware of NLP, so I don't really know how to incorporate any of those techniques into this, though I'm going to try.
I wonder if anyone is interested in participating in this with me. I'd like to share scripts and get comments and suggestions and see if anything comes of it. I'll be happy to share my resulting mp3's if anyone finds them useful.
I'm going to decide on my first "subject" shortly and begin to gather, write and test scripts.
